Students will learn presentation skills using two different applications (Powerpoint and Hyperstudio) Skills learned in this class include, but are not limited to the following.
* Setting up and running a slide show. Students will learn to present projects several different ways. (Manually, using rehearsed timings, and rehearsed timings with narration)
* Students will learn to incorporate design elements into their projects like slide transitions, custom animations, slide designs and custom backgrounds using paint.net and other custom graphic applications.
* Students will learn to insert many different types of media into their presentations to make their projects better including clipart movies, internet hyperlinks, sound clips from existing sound files or internet, smart art, word art, auto-shapes, charts, tables, pictures and self recorded introductions using a microphone.
*Students will learn how to setup, design, and present a Hyper-Studio project from scratch. Projects will include design elements such as open ended project progression, predesigned and custom made backgrounds and pictures, card transitions, hyperlinks, automatic timings for slides, computer blabber mouth sounds and self made voice recordings, clip art, word art, motion paths and custom animations. Students will also learn to create project elements in other applications then transfer them to Hyper-Studio to be incorporated into their projects.
